Test Results

Once results have been seen by a clinician and filed in the medical records then reception will be able to tell you what tests are back and what is normal. If you require further information you will need to see or speak to a nurse or a doctor.

Please bear in mind some results may take several weeks to come back.

Sick Notes

Medical certificates are not usually required for periods of less than 7 days. Self certification is required and forms are available from your employer or from reception.

For periods of sickness less than 7 days where a medical certificate is still required, a standard fee may be charged as this falls outside of NHS services.

Medical certification requires a doctor to have assessed the patient during the period of their illness. "Sick notes" will usually be issued during the consultation with the doctor.

In exceptional circumstances medical certificates can be extended without a further consultation if agreed in advance with the doctor. Please put these requests in writing clearly indicating the dates required.

If there is no record of you having seen a doctor either here at this practice or elsewhere, then we will not be able to issue a certificate.
